The orangey-striped socks (Opal is the wonderful brand) are finished ! And I, personally as a neutral observer, think they look great!! I sneaked up on the them to take a picture of them at work.

The other socks are coming along nicely also. We're through the gusset and onto the foot.

Now, I want to try the Six Sox pattern and cast on some socks for a woman friend who tells me she wears a size 5 shoe from the boy's department! Sheesh. This is not on my size chart.

Is this your own pattern or one from a book?

Not really, Schatzi. I haven't been doing it very long.

Deb, the yarn is from Opal and it's called Prisma. The socks are just stockinette with a 2x2 ribbing. Are you on the socknitters.com list?

Something's wrong with that clock so this is a test. It's 7:44 here now.

How's school?

Wow, they turned out so well and look even better on the feet! Orange is the new black right?

It's 3:55 p.m. here which would be 10:55 a.m. your time? Your comments time thingie might not be set write, but is that important in the grand scheme of things? There are socks to be knit and cookies to be eaten!

Blogger is on Pacific Time. It's probably created by a bunch of surfing Silicone Valley hippie-nerds.

What kind of cookies do you have?

Gingerbread men and vanilla horns

You're right, it IS on Pacific Time.

I am too awed to think I know a person who makes Gingerbreak men. You made them right? I know you posted the recipe on your blog.

did not mean Gingerbreak. That's how mine would turn out.

Yeah, I made them using that recipe. It's easy - make dough, roll out, use your gingerbread man cutter and voila! The dough was a bit crispy, though, not that that would stop me. :-)

Betty, your socks are gorgeous! Since getting back to sock knitting and trying out new yarn, I have to agree that Opal IS the best.

Great socks! I love the Prisma yarn, but haven't added any to the stash yet.
