I finished one of my poor little socks. My theory here is that you learn as you go and perfection is not required right now. In other words, the toe is not what I want it to be. I just don't get that kitchener stitch. It seems to involve tying knots in your yarn as you go along. Anyway the toe is finished and the sock FEELS good and the yarn is so cute. Will post a picture when they're both done.

But at least you know what a kitchener stitch is! And how to make a sock toe. Do some people knit both socks at the same time? I thought I saw that somewhere.
